Eagle arrives in New York

NEW YORK – A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Cape Cod, Mass., circles above the Coast Guard Cutter Eagle while the crew anchors in New York Harbor, Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011. The Eagle is in New York for the Coast Guard’s 221st birthday. It is the cutter’s last port call for the summer training cruise, which commemorates the 75th anniversary of the 295-foot barque, which will be open for tours at Brooklyn’s Pier 7 all weekend. The Coast Guard Cutter Eagle moored to the Landungsbruecken Pier in Hamburg, Germany, in celebration of its construction 75 years ago at the Blohm and Voss Shipyards June 5, 2011.
