I have tried to share my love of music with my boys and it makes me very proud that they have given some of the bands I grew up enjoying a listen. There are a few new groups that they like but they love old school rock and metal. No Hanna Montana, Jonas Brothers or other bubblegum pop stars come near their Ipods. They would rather listen to Led Zeppelin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and Van Halen (Diamond Dave and Sammy).
Their love of this type and era of music made me so excited to share with them this headline I found on Internet:
They don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, being 12 and 10 years old, but one thing they both agree on is that AC/DC ROCKS!!!!!!! Of course the first thing out of my younger son’s mouth is that “That concert can be mine and Dad’s outing together, sorry big brother”. I told them we would have to wait and see where they will be playing in our area and what our money situation is come concert time, but maybe we could swing a few tickets as a Christmas present. Much jumping and cheering ensued.
